Focus Area
No one should have to risk death for a chance at life. Here is our commitment to changing that.
Thousands of migrants risk — and lose — their lives every year on unsafe ocean crossings. We are committed to changing that.
According to the IOM's Missing Migrants Project, over 60,000 people have gone missing on the Mediterranean alone since 2014. Of that number, 47,363 died through drowning, 11,804 are mixed or unknown, 7,246 are from vehicle accidents, 6,071 died of harsh environmental conditions, 5,914 died of violence, 3,424 died of sickness, and 1,434 due to accidental death.
We are motivated to be the voice and the presence for migrants in distress — to reduce these numbers and ensure no life is lost needlessly at sea.
In three years:
Our mission is to create awareness and gather support that helps migrants choose safer routes. For economic migrants, we offer employment support, skills development, and connections to opportunities in their home countries — empowering them to build a future without risking their lives.
We address this crisis at its root. Our key focus areas are:
We believe no organisation can solve this crisis alone. That's why we actively seek partnerships with financial investors, educators, policymakers, world leaders, and fellow foundations — anyone whose vision aligns with our mission to protect lives at sea.
We are also open to franchise partnerships, where independent organisations can operate under the Dtribe Foundation banner globally, maintaining full alignment with our core principles and integrity.
Help us protect lives and advocate for safer migration routes worldwide.
